Trees Drop Their Leaves

Are we here learning lessons (developing greater personality) so that we are allowed into heaven?

If so, then mainstream religion is correct, which means we are born/created imperfect.

If not, then why do we come here with what appears to be certain issues?

Is it all planned or does it just happen? There are times in our lives when we can look back and see a pattern and think “This all happened for a reason as it should’ve!” We tend to tie the idea of things happening as they “should have” to these moments when we look back on our lives. BUT, if we made other choices in our lives that lead us to completely different places, we could and would still look back and think “things happen as they should have”. This means that not everything that happens is meant to happen. We can and do get off track sometimes.

For me the Tao is the most distilled truth of life, religion and anything meaningful. The Tao is translated as the “Path.” A better definition is “The natural flow/order/way of things”. Everything in life has a natural way of working. When you deviate from those ways things go wrong. Being aware of that flow within all life is to be aware of and connected to God, Universe, Nature or whatever else you want to label it.

When I break down the experiences I have had and the knowledge I have gained, it all comes down to one lesson to learn and live by: be aware of the Tao and do your best to always be in alignment and work with the natural order of things. Whether it is a relationship, season of the year or giving your body what it needs, we must do our best to be in sync with the natural flow of life.

LIVE = going with the flow      VS      EVIL = going against the flow

What the world is showing us now is how far off the Path we have gotten in regards to POWER and VALUE.

The natural flow of things requires a certain amount of submission and we all tend to dislike that. As a result we have created all kinds of new-age ideas that tell us we don’t have to do that so we will feel better. This results in us being further out of alignment with God.

Trees don’t grow leaves in the winter. When winter comes the trees drop their leaves. The trees energy shifts from being yang (masculine and going out) to Yin (feminine and going in). The tree hibernates in winter to spring (pun intended) back to full life around Easter (when Jesus came out of his tomb to live again, hmmm…).

If the tree willfully refuses to drop its leaves there could be many negative side effects as a result of its defiant action.

#1. The Earth and her small critters miss their winter blanket. The result would be certain insects dieing off more than they should, which leads to being overrun with other kinds of insects.

When you are in alignment/the flow with life you are the Tao. You cease experiencing the seasons changing and you become the seasons!

#2. The Earth doesn’t get important nutrients returned to her so the soil becomes barren and we are unable to plant in her. The tree pulls nutrients from the Earth in summer so it can grow. In winter the trees give back to the Earth. This is one example of the many codependent relationships that requires us all to live by the Tao.

There are more reasons, but I think you get the idea.

Side not here: Another example of being unTaoistic: Have you noticed that we do our “business” in water. The second most important element needed to sustain our lives, while the Earth that turns our waste into healthy soil, we can plant in, needs more and more artificial fertilizers to support her.

We as a country (the majority) are living beyond our limits and needs. Being in proper alignment with the Tao requires knowing our limits and living within them. To be Taoist is to only take what you need and will use. We point our fingers at big corporations for being so in dept. Yes, they have used people and discarded them, but they are merely a larger reflection of our own issues. A family is like a business, how many of us are deeply in-depth or at least feeling a little stress about money we owe? Yet we still keep spending, extending our credit to the point of breaking, thinking on some level we won’t have to pay for it.

We are sucking up the Earth’s resources as if they are unlimited. This is happening hand in hand with our misplacement of value. For far too long we have placed value on the fire outside while the flames within us grow weaker and weaker from our lack of tending to them.  As a whole, we humans have abused our power and placed value on the wrong things in life. There is a fine line between need and want. The Earth has enough for all our needs but not for all of our greeds. The Tao which is stronger than us will eventually rectify the imbalance.

Do you really want to know why we are here? We are here to live and thrive TOGETHER! Our one lesson is to learn how to honor and respect all life, which results in perfect balance. There are many areas in which to learn honor and respect. Once you have truly learned it you don’t experience the seasons changing you become the seasons.

The planet we live on is the “Garden of Eden”, the whole dang thing. As a whole, we stepped out of the natural flow a long time ago. The planet can be a paradise once again, but we must first merge back with the Tao in our individual lives, as countries and as the human race.

Life is extremely simple if we align and live by the Tao.

One last example of the Tao and being out of alignment with it:

In alignment with the Tao: eat fatty foods = you get fat

Willfully trying to go against the Tao: eat fatty foods = taking an anti-fat pill = eventually negative side effects from the pill surface because it is against the Tao.
