I have learned over the years that it is quit alright to be compensated for the knowledge or help you offer some one. In a few cases I have learned that doing something for nothing doesn’t benefit the one I am doing it for or myself. For example, work with someone that wants to get healthier and doesn’t have enough money so you cut the price down and then find out that they spend $20.00 a week on cigarettes. Don’t get me wrong, I have a sliding scale for people. I don’t believe in not helping someone if they cannot afford it, and I will never turn anyone away initially as long as they are making efforts on their end in some way.
Money is a tool of intent. If you want to know where anyone’s intent is see where they are spending their money. When you spend money on something your not only saying it has value you are also putting value in it.
The more money you have the more good you can do. One of the reasons the world is so lopsided is that the people that could do the world good have programs saying money is “bad”. A popular belief is that you have to be an impoverished monk to be a good and spiritual person. Hell, look at Dr. Wayne Dyer! He has done a lot of good, and now after making lots of money he can give back more.
I am not saying people are unworthy; I am talking about their mind set being ready.
