Mind Body Soul
On a mental and emotional level
the head represents ego and
will. The head also reflects the
qualities of Aries and Mars, the
strong warrior.
Emotional issues that can be the
cause of head related problems.
Being stubborn (hard headed)
Being judgmental (close minded)
Repeating negative patterns
(beating your head against the
wall)
Affirmation to help the :
"I have an open mind and see all
sides to any issue or
situation!"
"I completely accept others as
they are!"
"I see that I am connected to
everyone!"
Therapy:
Head massage
Meditation
Admitting when you are not right
Flower Essence:
SHASTA DAISY
Positive Qualities: Mandalic or
holistic consciousness,
synthesizing ideas into a living
wholeness
Patterns of Imbalance:
Over-intellectualization of
reality, especially seeing
information as bits and pieces
rather than parts of a whole
Definition: The thinking part of
the soul functions by dividing
phenomena into smaller, more
easily understood components.
However, if the analytical
aspect of the mind holds too
great a sway, the consciousness
can no longer experience greater
wholeness and meaning in its
understanding of life. This is
an especially powerful tendency
in our modern culture, where the
thinking and intellectual life
is given great prominence and
emphasis. Shasta Daisy imparts
insight into the broader
meanings and larger patterns of
mental and emotional experience.
This remedy can be very helpful
for those involved in writing,
teaching, research, or other
intellectual professions. It is
also beneficial in any
therapeutic process where the
essential emotional experience
is broken into smaller parts.
Shasta Daisy enables the Self to
re-integrate and re-pattern the
emotional life into new
wholeness and self-identity.
Shasta Daisy helps the soul
become more capable of
archetypal or wholistic
consciousness, stimulating great
forces of intelligence and
insight into life experience.

Negative World Patterns
and Programs
This past week I became very
aware of how we typically go
about solving problems
backwards. I have seen this in
my own actions and thoughts.
Whether it is emails,
television, friends, or the
radio we are constantly
bombarded and reminded of how
screwed up the world, or more
accurately the people of the
Earth, are. Most of us get
sucked into the negative
thoughts and instead of being an
effective tool for
transformation we just add more
negativity to the collective of
the problem. When we think of
something as a problem we
actually give the problem more
power.
One of our first reactions is to
fight against the negativity we
see. To wage a war in order to
prevail over what we consider an
external enemy. Like the "war on
drugs" or the "war on hunger".
These have not worked and never
will.
The intent behind ones actions
is more important than the
action. I'm not saying to never
act but focus before you act.
It's important to act because
action is required for any
change. But the force (intent)
behind any action is the most
important! When the intent comes
from the right place and is sent
in the right way less action is
needed. Without setting the mind
straight with intent any action
we take is aimless.
As physically focused beings we
want to jump into action before
thinking. We have all gotten our
selves into trouble doing just
that. The truth is that the
origin of any problem comes from
the level of the
mind/consciousness not physical
reality. So the origin of any
solution must be rooted in the
mind before the physical can
sprout the desired result,
especially if we want a lasting
result.
We tend to think and say: "What
are we GOING TO DO about people
going hungry".
When we should be saying: "We
INTEND for everyone to have
enough food to eat."
When we focus on doing first
without the right mindset it is
like running into a thick forest
without a compass. We may waste
days wandering around lost. But,
if we use our compass (the
focused mind) we are given very
specific steps to take in order
to reach or goal. As a result of
using our compass we expend less
time and energy and arrive at
our goals much faster.
Taking medication is a great
example of putting physical
before mental. We can take
Prozac for depression, but
Prozac doesn't cure anything.
How we know it doesn't cure
anything is that when we stop
taking the pill the depression
comes back. So daily we take
action but ultimately nothing
has changed.
I am all for taking medication
to improve one's life, but it is
easy to allow them to become
mental crouches that we never
get off of. We can use pills as
tools of our mind though, by
taking a moment to focus the
mind on the desired result then
taking the pill we getting
closer to the root.
To me, that is what the "Being
the change you wish to see" is
all about. By changing our
thoughts, emotions, and holding
the visualization of what we
wish to see in the world we are
being the change we wish to see.
Here are some steps to take when
you are presented with some
negative aspect of human
consciousness.
1. Resist the temptation to jump
into the stream of thought and
get carried away.
2. Hold the intent in your mind
of the desired result.
3. Listen for and to the
guidance you will be given as a
result of the intent you are
holding. This is how co-creation
is done.

Soft Drinks Link To Cancer
CANCER CAUSING CHEMICAL FOUND IN
SOME SOFT DRINKS
The U.S., U.K. and China have
launched investigations into
benzene in soft drinks. Results
of independent laboratory tests
in New York, show a couple of
soft drinks in the U.S. contain
as much as four times above the
legal benzene limit for drinking
water. Benzene, a known
carcinogen, is formed when two
ingredients in the beverage
react with each other: sodium
benzoate (a preservative) and
ascorbic acid (vitamin C). The
FDA will not released the names
of the beverages with high
benzene levels but says the
companies are being asked to
change their ingredients.

Healthy Alternative to
Chocolate
Mesquite Meal
Q. What is Gluten Free, Low Carb,
Low Fat, Low Glycemic, and high
in dietary fiber but Naturally
Sweet?
A. Mesquite Meal!
Q. How do you use Mesquite Meal?
A. Add it to stir-fry's, soups,
just about anything. Use it as a
flour substitute, as a condiment
the versatility is truly
limitless. Using Mesquite with
other foods helps to lower the
glycemic load of high carb
foods. What this means to you is
that you don't get hungry so
fast, it reduces the amount of
sugar that is stored as fat,
prevents blood sugar spikes, and
it helps to liven up recipes
that might need a little
pizzazz. Use it on fish, meat,
and poultry to add dietary fiber
and great taste to your meals.
Q. Why a gluten free diet?
A. Gluten is the insoluble
component of many grains such as
wheat, rye, and barley. Gluten
may cause an allergic reaction
in certain people. A gluten free
diet is the primary treatment
for celiacs disease but is also
used to help many other
conditions, including
dermatitis, psoriasis,
rheumatoid arthritis,
enteropathy, schizophrenia and
even HIV. This list is by no
means conclusive as there are
many conditions that people have
that may be brought on by diet
including gluten.
Q. Why is low carb important?
A. Truly, low carb is sort of a
misunderstanding. What we really
know today is that there are
"good" carbs and "bad" carbs.
Limiting carbs that are high
glycemic is really what's
important. In the late 1960's
America learned that fat in our
diets was directly related to
heart disease. Without
understanding that only certain
fats needed to be avoided we cut
all fats to a minimum. The food
industry replaced the fats with
sugars in order to keep foods
tasting good and it worked.
Unfortunately, we did not know
that the high carbohydrate diet
the American Heart Association
and others had recommended would
cause the obesity problems of
today.

E-Waste Recycle
What is e-waste?
The term "e-waste" is loosely
applied to consumer and business
electronic equipment that is
near or at the end of its useful
life. There is no clear
definition for e-waste; for
instance whether or not items
like microwave ovens and other
similar "appliances" should be
grouped into the category has
not been established.
Is "e-waste" considered
hazardous?
Certain components of some
electronic products contain
materials that render them
hazardous, depending on their
condition and density. For
instance, California law
currently views nonfunctioning
CRTs (cathode ray tubes) from
televisions and monitor as
hazardous.
