In its simplest form the concepts of yin and yang refer to the two opposing yet COMPLEMENTARY aspects of everything in the universe, be it an object or a process of an idea. One is not better than the other. They depend on one another. The goal is yin and yang balance / harmony.
Be aware of where you find yourself arguing the wrongness of something, for this is showing you were you are split. When you externally point your finger at the male or female characterizes you are reflecting an imbalance within yourself. This imbalance is usually a rejection of certain traits you have. If you point out the judgments you PERCEIVE the masculine is making you are being exactly what you don’t like – the judgmental masculine. That also goes for the feminine side as well. There are just as many positive qualities in yin as there are in yang, and vise versa. No man is 100% masculine and no woman is 100% feminine.
If we allow ourselves to get caught up in the definitions/differences it keeps us in duality. We cannot transcend duality (the split mind) by thinking with a split mind. We must work to neutralize or empty our perceptions so we can see with real-eyes. To raise above the arguing mind of good and bad / right and wrong takes a brave soul willing to give up judgments and at the same time give up caring what others think, believe and perceive. We are never completely free until we are able to do this!!
Imagine that two people are playing with a ball. They are both throwing the ball back and forth. One catches it and throws it back and the others does the same. Now imagine that the ball is full of judgment, hate, and anger. If they both keep throwing the ball back and forth the energetic game of blame will never end. The spiritual warrior is one who takes the initiative to allow the ball to hit them and then not throw it back. The ego is always tempted to throw the ball back, because the ego is the result of the separational view. Our consciousness feeds spiritual connection or ego separation.
That is my take on it anyway.
Peace out, and IN
